Homework for Week 2

12:00: Your assignment for Tuesday, January 20
3:00: Your assignment for Wednesday, January 21

1. Watch, listen, and take notes.
2. Bring notes to class on Wednesday and be prepared to discuss your program using the notes.
3. Turn the notes in on Wednesday. Remember, you cannot turn in your notes the next day!
4. Your notes will be graded on
a. thoroughness
b. organization
c. clarity of information
d. effective use of abbreviations and symbols.
5. Go to: http://www.biography.com/video.do?name=blackhistory for the first assignment. Go to Activists and Politicians and listen to at least ONE video about Martin Luther King. You may choose a variety of other videos but they must add up to at least 45 minutes of listening.

NOTE: We will have ONLY nine major listening assignments. Each assignment is worth 20 points and is a very important part of your grade. If you miss even one assignment, you will get far behind in your class score. If your score is low and I have not seen enough work to know you can take notes, you will have to repeat the class.
